Course Stage of MSc.
Course stage of MSc programs 1) Students make their course selections online during the course registration week determined by the university.
2) The duration of the master's degree is at least 4 semesters, excluding the time spent in Scientific Preparation, and is 6 semesters at maximum. It consists of at least 120 ECTS including 7 courses, 1 seminar and (21 credits / 60 ECTS), thesis work and specialization course. In addition, a course within the scope of "Scientific Research Techniques and Science Ethics" must be taken during the graduate education process. The duration of completing the Master's courses is at most 4 semesters. Students who fail to complete all of their courses at the end of this period are dismissed from the doctoral program. 3) Students must choose courses with a minimum of 30 and a maximum of 45 ECTS in each semester. For graduate and doctorate students, the seminar course is compulsory, starting from the second semester. Seminars are offered at the end of the relevant academic term. The graduate student determines the seminar topic to be given together with his/her advisor and submits the "Seminar Suggestion Form" to the head of the department stating the place, date and time of the seminar. The student who is successful in the seminar turns the presentation prepared in accordance with the thesis writing rules into a booklet and delivers 1 bound copy to the Graduate School of Science within one week at the latest. 4) Graduate students are required to code at least one course including Scientific Research Techniques-Science Ethics during the course phase. 5) Students must take at least 50% (30 ECTS) of the courses they are required to take from the department in which they are registered. Course selection from different departments should be made in line with the advisor's knowledge and approval. The nature of the courses (compulsory/elective) taken from different departments are accepted in their own department, as they are taken. Master's students can take at most 2 elective courses from the relevant undergraduate program, provided that they have not been taken before. The ECTS credits of the courses to be taken must be selected by considering the total ECTS credits required for graduation from the graduate program. 6) Graduate students who are subject to the scientific preparation program must be successful in all of the courses they have taken within the time given to them (maximum 2 semesters). Students in the scientific preparation program cannot take courses in summer school. Unsuccessful students are dismissed from the graduate program. 7) Advisors must approve course registration approvals until the last day of the registration week notified by student affairs. Advisors have the right to add or remove courses within the student's knowledge. 8) Adding or removing of courses is done with the "Add-Delete Form", which includes the student's request and the advisor's approval, within the week following the registration week. 9) Success grade in graduate courses is 65.00 and above. |
